Why Are Cobb Democrats Defending Violence Against Police? And Why Is the Local Media Helping Them Do It?

MTG Town Hall Protestor Arrest

By now, you’ve seen the headlines. If you believe the corporate media and Georgia Democrats, a group of peaceful, concerned citizens were viciously tased and arrested just for daring to speak out at a town hall hosted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

The truth? It’s almost the exact opposite.

What actually happened in Cobb County was simple: a sitting member of Congress held an informational event for constituents. Not a campaign rally. Not a protest. A town hall. What she got in return was a coordinated ambush by radical leftist agitators, followed by a media smear campaign and a full-court press from Democrat officials trying to spin it all as some great injustice.

Let’s set the record straight.

The individuals who were removed, and in two cases, tased, were not “peaceful protesters.” They were radical leftist, allegedly paid activists, and Democrat operatives sent in to create chaos. They weren’t interested in civil discourse. They came to scream, curse, insult, and, as seen in multiple videos, resist and assault law enforcement officers who were simply trying to maintain order.

This was not an exercise in free speech. It was a staged confrontation, designed to make headlines.

And it worked, because the local and national media ran with it. In a recent article in the Marietta Daily Journal, their “reporter” clearly bowed down and only reported the coordinated responses from local Democrats.

Did they publish statements from local elected Republicans who actually represent the same constituents as Congresswoman Greene’s? No.

Did they publish a response from the state or local GOP? No.

They immediately went straight to the Democrats to regurgitate their preprogrammed false narrative and facilitate their fake news campaign.

But here’s the twist: instead of focusing on the violence, they focused on the “victims.” Instead of showing respect for law enforcement and public safety, they parroted the line that the arrests were excessive and unfair. And instead of telling the truth about the event, they repeated Democrat talking points word for word.

Which brings us to the main players in this disinformation campaign.

Let’s start with State Rep. Terry Cummings, who should be absolutely ashamed of herself. Cummings didn’t just call the arrests “unjust”, she demanded the release of these criminals following their arrest, and is pushing a laughable sob narrative about those arrested. This includes calling Kiyana Davis, “a helpless diabetic who was denied food and medication” while in jail after yelling vulgarities. Well Terry guess what, yelling vulgarities is in fact a crime in the city of Acworth (City of Acworth Ordinance 54-11).

Give us a break. If you’re well enough to disrupt an event with profanity-laced tirades, you’re well enough to take responsibility for your behavior.

Cummings also rushed to frame the male suspects, Andrew Nelms, who is apparently not even a constituent of the Rep. Greene, and Johnny Williams, as victims, going as far to identify Williams as “a disabled and decorated veteran”, conveniently ignoring the fact that he resisted, obstructed and, assaulted officers. As a military veteran, he should know better. These aren’t folks who should’ve been “cited and released,” as she and others suggest.

No, these are people should be facing real charges, because they committed real crimes. The Democrats’ defense of them tells you everything you need to know about their priorities.

Then there’s Cobb Democrat Party Chair Essence Johnson, who is apparently involved in assisting the “victims families” and is also demanding the charges be dropped, and apologies from Acworth Police officers’. Right, I’m sure the’ll get right on that for you Essence.

And State Rep. David Wilkerson, who claimed this was an “attack on First Amendment rights.” Sorry, David, kicking and punching cops, and making terrorist threats isn’t protected speech.

State Rep. Gabriel Sanchez pathetically whined that the event was a “captive audience,” as if a town hall held in a public community center is somehow authoritarian. And Rep. Lisa Campbell capped it off by calling the whole thing a “complete failure.”

No, Lisa. The only failure here is the coordinated attempt by you and your Democrat colleagues to justify violence and undermine law enforcement for political gain.

Also, let’s demolish this idea that constituents weren’t allowed to ask questions. That’s flat-out false. When constituents registered for the town hall, there was a clearly marked space on the form to submit questions in advance.

Rep. Greene answered many of those, including tough ones from critics. So the claim that the event silenced dissent is just more Democrat gaslighting, designed to smear Greene and distract from the real issue: the Left cannot tolerate anyone who doesn’t bow to their ideology.

This wasn’t just an attack on Rep. Greene, it was an attack on every conservative in this county who dares to speak, organize, or represent their community without asking for permission from the radical Left. The same crowd that wants you fired for your faith, canceled for your politics, or arrested for defending your home now wants to cancel speech entirely, while excusing real criminal behavior from their own operatives.

Let’s zoom out for a moment.

Rep. Greene has received death threats, just like Elon Musk, who’s now Public Enemy #1 to the radical progressive mob for daring to support free speech and government efficiency. President Trump survived an actual assassination attempt that the media likes to ignore. There’s a pattern here, and if you think what happened in Cobb is the end of it, think again.

This is how the Left operates: provoke chaos, play the victim, and let the media run interference. They don’t just disagree with conservatives anymore, they hate them. And they’ll do whatever it takes to silence their voice.

Well, here’s the good news: Conservatives are not backing down.

Rep. Greene isn’t backing down. The good officers who protected that town hall aren’t backing down. And neither should you. Because if we let them turn truth into fiction and criminals into martyrs, the next town hall won’t just be disrupted, it’ll be shut down entirely. That’s the real endgame here.

But not in Cobb County. Not in Georgia. And not on our watch.
