AJC Faces Criticism Over Duplicate Letter from Cobb Activist

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) has come under fire after publishing a letter from Heather Tolley-Bauer, which had already been printed by the smaller Cobb County Courier.

Tolley-Bauer a political gadfly, known for her involvement with the radical activist group Watching the Funds, has actively opposed Republican members on the Cobb County School Board. Despite presenting herself as a concerned parent, she has been heavily involved in political efforts to flip the board to Democratic control, contributing both time and resources over the past three election cycles.

Bauer’s most recent line of attack seems to be focused on student safety, arguing that security plans should be shared more openly with the community.

Heather Tolley-Bauer went so far as to praise board member Tre’ Hutchins, who recently disclosed unpublished details about new security measures.

Critics argue that Tolley-Bauer’s comments are part of a broader democrat led strategy to stir up controversy and discredit the current board. The fact that the same letter was published in two different outlets raises questions about the AJC’s editorial judgment. Some wonder if the newspaper knowingly participated in a coordinated effort or was simply misled.  Time shall tell, as one of the outlets will most likely delete the letter from their platform.
