Starting May 5, the U.S. Department of Education, under the leadership of Secretary Linda McMahon, will resume collections on defaulted federal student loans.

While Cobb families are working to make ends meet, Democrat commissioners are playing politics with your wallet. And now they want to double down on the chaos.

I’ll hand it to the democrats, they sure know how to do damage control. In Georgia, both Sen. John Ossoff and Rep. Lucy McBath (Georgia’s 6th district) rolled out their CYA teams today, posing full on Pro-Laken, despite what we saw with our own eyes at President Trump’s address to Congress. But I’m not buying it.
Other than I’ve just never bought what dems are selling, here are the facts:

President Trump gave his “State of the Union Address” Tuesday night to a joint session of Congress. It wasn’t technically billed as that since he was recently sworn in, but the point is the same, especially since he’s gotten so much accomplished in his first few weeks.
By now, if you didn’t watch it, you’ve probably heard how the democrats sat in their seats like zombies, holding up little auction-type paddle signs with pre-printed protests, snarling openly while the president listed his wins. The grim faced dems, especially the loony ladies, looked like the entire cast of “Thriller” ushered into the room and forced to take a seat while Trump Vincent-Priced his way good naturedly (with huzzahs from republicans) through the first half and all his wins.
Here we go again… The professional activists of the far-left have come up with yet another “bold” strategy to shake the foundations of society: not buying things for a day. That’s right—these self-proclaimed revolutionaries are organizing what they call a “Buy Nothing” protest on February 28, 2025.
Their grand plan? Avoid shopping at major businesses for 24 hours—a move so meaningless, so utterly pointless, that it’s almost impressive.
It turns out “inclusion” has its limits—at least when it comes to conservatives. In a stunning display of hypocrisy, Smyrna Pride, an LGBTQ+ organization, has decided that being gay isn’t enough to qualify for participants a local Cobb Pride event. You also have to hold the right political beliefs.
Now, the Georgia Republican Party is stepping in, making it clear that this blatant discrimination won’t go unchecked. Georgia GOP Chairman Josh McKoon has put Smyrna Pride on notice: allow the Georgia Log Cabin Republicans to participate, or face a lawsuit.
